John P. Dickwisch, 87, of rural Sutter, died at 10:03 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 3, 1982) in St. Mary Hospital, Quincy, following a short Illness.
Mr. Dickwisch was born Dec. 24, 1894, in Walker Township, a son of John and Hannah Wemhoener Dickwisch. He had attended Buckeye School. He served in France during World War I. A lifelong area resident, he was a retired farmer. He married Nellie Newell, Nov. 17, 1920. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son, Patrick, of Sutter; a daughter, Mrs. Curtis (Betty) Eshom, of Sutter; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, and seven sisters.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary Catholic Church in West Point, conducted by the Rev. Francis P. White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Carthage.
