Services for Mrs. Josie Bell, 87, were held at the Church of Christ with Henry Seidmeyer, minister, officiating assisted by Rev. T.R. Bedford. Interment was in the original cemetery.
Josie Kimmons married to Mr. Bell on 27 August 1882 at Johnson County, Texas. He preceded her in death.
Survived by her children - Mahala Bell; Z.Z. Bell of Glendale, CA; Jim Bell of Munday, J.T. Bell of Seminole, Jess Bell of Hastings, OK, E.B. Bell of Craig, CO, Mrs. A.H. Harvey.
Mrs. Bell had 154 descendants: seven children, 41 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bell moved to Seymour in 1917 and united with the Church of Christ. She as a faithful member in every way so long as her health permitted taking part in Christian activities. She was a friend to those about her, and she has sent many treasures on before her to the land of eternal rest.
