Hank was born in Decatur, IL in 1938, the son of Floyd Henry and Mary (Weiler) Edwards, Sr. He was a friendly, outgoing man who made friends wherever he went. He was a decorated soldier who spent 18+ years in the military, including three tours of duty in Viet Nam. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he drove a truck for CRL Lines of Utah and Knox Trucking of Illinois and was a member of Teamsters Local 279. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 105, VFW Post 99, and a 26-year member of AM-VETS. He married Rosemary Utterback on July 6, 2001. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rosemary, and two sisters, Mary K. Dearing and Clara Irene Edwards. Although he spent the last months of his life in a nursing home he never the less maintained a positive demeanor and attitude and uplifted the spirits of the staff and residents alike at Asta Care. Hank had a very special relationship with children and whenever he was in a group where there were children, his friendly, cajoling manner endeared all of them to this caring man. Hank enjoyed baseball, BBQ and John Wayne movies. He will be missed by all of his many friends and relatives, particularly the children. Rest in Peace, Hank. He was a Bronze Star recipient
