CONCORD Joyce Marie Honeycutt, 73, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 27, 1940, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Glen William Beach and Inez Lucille Kluttz Beach.
Joyce was employed as a preboarder at various local hosiery mills over the years until her retirement in 1989. She was an active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Concord. She is fondly remembered by family for her love of fishing at places all over.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley B. Haigler and a brother, Norman Lee Beach.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. today (Sunday, Aug. 3), at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Concord, officiated by the Revs. Ray Rivenbark and Don Lisk. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. today at the church prior to the service.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Merrill W. Honeycutt; her children, Ronny Price, of Kannapolis, Kathy Walker, of Stanfield, Vicky Crowley, of Concord and Terry Price, of Kannapolis; one sister, Vera Ruth Parker, of Concord; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
