Knightdale - Evelyn Sanderford Hodge, 61, of 335 Hester Street, died Sunday morning at Rex Hospital. She was the daughter of the late David Clarence and Callie Whitley Sanderford.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday, Knightdale United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Surviving: daughters, Karen H. Malmquist of Raleigh, Tonia H. Ingrahm and Emmy H. Haveri, both of Knightdale; sons, Bill Hodge, Steve Hodge, Richard Braxton Hodge and Scott Hodge, all of Knightdale; sisters, Eleanor Phipps of Sanford, Kay Gresham of Wake Forest, Fay Jones and Callie Jo Johnson, both of Wendell; brothers, Curtis Sanderford of Zebulon, Lloyd Sanderford of Spring Hope, Dwight Sanderford of Wendell; stepsister, Ethel Haithcock of Durham; stepbrothers, Aaron Johnson of Wendell, Ben Johnson of Lexington, Ky.; 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Craven Hodge Sr. and son, Al Hodge and daughter, Lu Anne Hodge.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Strickland Funeral Home, Wendell; other times at the home of Ray and Karen Malmquist, 1900 Carl Williamson Road, Kings Grant, Raleigh.
