With her loving family at her side, Greenville resident Naomi Jean Back went home to be with the Lord Monday night, May 5, 2014 at Plumas District Hospital located in Quincy, CA.
Born December 9, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Minnesota natives John and Winifred (Rick) Back, she and her family moved to Southern California when she was three where Naomi was raised and educated graduating from Excelsior High School as a member of the "Class of 1956".
Naomi married shortly out of high school and began raising her family. Following an earlier divorce Namoi became re-acquainted with a high school friend named Gordon Back. As their love for one another blossomed the couple was married in Las Vegas Nevada on September 13, 1971.
In 1979 the couple moved to the Northeastern California community of Greenville from Whittier, CA. Naomi will be remembered by many for her beautiful singing voice. The couple performed at numerous venues throughout the area together as her husband accompanied her with guitar. She was a devout Christian who attended the Greenville Southern Baptist Church, was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed sewing clothes for her children, and was a talented writer who wrote books for all her grandchildren. Her passion in life even after an early stroke was caring for her family especially her grandchildren.
In passing Naomi leaves her loving husband for the past 42 years; Gordon Back of Greenville, CA, son; Keith M. Aregood of Crescent Mills, CA, daughters; Penny K. Drouillard and Julie M. Hutson both of Greenville, her precious eleven grand and eight great grandchildren along with a brother; David Clyne of Chico, CA.
She joins her son Bryan Back and sister Vickie M. Back in their eternal home with the Lord.
