P. Arnola was born January 27, 1909 to Ole M. and Laura L. Johnson Moe on a farm west of Colman. She received her education at Molskness Country School and Colman High School. She helped raise her younger brothers and sisters after the death of her mother. She married Wilber Gullickson at Colman on January 27, 1937. January 27 was Arnola's and Wilber's birthday and their anniversary. They farmed in Riverview Township northwest of Flandreau. She worked at the Flandreau Hospital as a nurses aid for five years. She moved into Flandreau in 1976 where she has continued to make her home. She was Riverview Township Assessor for many years, was a member of Midway Lutheran Church, A.L.C.W., a charter member of the Sioux River Sues Extension Club, was Sunday School superintendent and teacher and a member of Sons of Norway and Senior Citizens.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Lorelee, Mrs. Verlyn Nelson, Carthage and Janice Douglas and fiance, Emil Straka, Aunnyvale, Ca.; 2 son, Dene and Gene, both of Flandreau; 9 granchildren; 2 great grandson; 4 brothers, Lloyd Moe, Vallejo, Ca., Olney and Richard Moe, Colman and Regy Moe, Rock Port, Mo.; 3 sisters, Ellen Nelson, Colman, Lillian, Mrs. Norval Gullickson, Flandreau and Delores, Mrs. Gerald Peterson, Seattle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber in May, 1958, her parents, 1 grandson, Ryan and 2 brothers Bob and Herbert.
