Mary M. Cameron, 78, King, passed away Wednesday at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring. She was born in King, daughter of the late Charles D. and Pearl K. (Manges) Feather. She was twice married: first to Ethamore F. Claar Sept. 15, 1948. He passed away in 1985. She then married Forrest E. Cameron May 20, 1988. He passed away in 1989. Surviving are a daughter, Elaine Smith and husband, John, of East Freedom; a son, Alan Claar and wife, Kathy; two granddaughters: Brittany Claar and fiance, Sean Svitana, and Bethany Claar, all of Claysburg; sisters: Betty Horner of Roaring Spring, Eleanor Rice-Shallop and husband, Robert, of Duncansville and Dorothy Miller and husband, Earl, of King; a brother, Carl Feather and wife, Doris, of Bedford; and sister-in-law, Emmalene Feather of Windber. Also surviving is her companion, Raymond Diehl of Bedford. She was preceded in death by brothers: Robert Feather and William and Charles in childhood. Mary was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Claysburg, where she was a member of the choir and Altar Guild. She was a cook at Queen Elementary School for many years, retiring in 1991, and since then had worked at Cat's Meow, Claysburg. She was a 1948 graduate of Claysburg High School and a member of the Claysburg Community Chorus and enjoyed braiding rugs, singing, playing piano, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, computer games and her cats. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kaye Hute officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Christ Church Organ Fund or the Claysburg Area Public Library.
