Jack Houston Turner, 81, of Eufaula, passed away, Saturday, August 14, 2010, at his home. Houston was born on September 23, 1928, in Fame, Oklahoma, the son of Thomas Edgar and Golda Ursa (Story) Turner. He attended Fame school in his early years and graduated from Stidham High School. After graduation, Houston attended Connors College for two years. Houston owned and operated an insurance business from 1968 to the present. He spent all of his life on a farm, working, breeding and raising quarter horses. On November 22, 1985, Houston married Connie J. Boyd in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was an active member of the Eufaula First Baptist Church. Houston is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Geneva Marks, one infant brother, a son, Larry Boyd; two granddaughters, Fallon Turner and Stephanie Enis and one great granddaughter Riley Enis.
