Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will follow in the St. Dorothy Cemetery, Dorothy, MN.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the church.
Ralph George Boutain was born on May 27, 1924 to Eli and Annie (Landa) Boutain in Dorothy, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Dorothy Catholic Church. He attended country school. He served in the US Army during WW II. Ralph returned home from the service and farmed his entire life near Dorothy. As a young man he would pick potatoes in the Grand Forks area. He also worked stacking green lumber in Thief River Falls, MN. He lived at Valley Home in Thief River Falls before moving to the High-rise into his own apartment.
Ralph enjoyed trapping and hunting. He loved the woods and sold lots of wood. He also enjoyed playing cards. He was a member of the St. Dorothy Catholic Church.
Ralph is survived by one brother, Harvey Boutain, Menahga, MN; two sisters Elsie (James) Wolner, Apache Junction, AZ; Lucille Starken, Chisholm, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents. 10 brothers and sisters: Emil, Elmer, Mamie Meyer, Herman, Edward, Madeline Molskness, Andrew, Willard, Dale, and Ray.
