John McGregor was born in Alburgh VT Sept 24 1787 to Duncan (5125512) and Jane Ross McGregor (5125517) (if you would please add the links to them) He removed to Illinois between 1840 when he was listed on the Alburgh VT census rolls and Sept 26 1848 when he married Margaret Shanks Partlow in Burlington. He and Margaret had two children together, Lydia, born in 1849 and Margaret (Maggie) in 1858. John died on Feb 4 1860 in Burlington IL. Margaret continued to live in Burlington, residing with her daughter Maggie and her husband, James Carrol by the 1880 census. After which time, I have lost track of everyone until Margaret's death at her son James Partlow's in Iowa Falls in 1899.
