Ross V. Bennett
Sodus Centre.—The sudden death
of Ross V. Bennett of this village
in a Buffalo hospital came as a
great surprise and shock to the people
of this vicinity. He was visiting
his cousin in Niagara Falls and
became ill and was taken to the hospital
and was recovering and expected
to come here in a few days when
the message came on Friday
announcing his death. He was
born in this village forty-four rears
ago and attended the public schools
here and the Newark High School.
He worked his way through a four
year course at Columbia University.
taking the degree of B. A. He
taught in the Stevens School and
the Buckley School for boys in New
York City, going abroad every Year
for several years. He was a clean
young man. brave, honest, unpre-
tentious. truthf ul - t h e kind that
needs no eulogy. The funeral was
held from the house Tuesday after-
noon and burial was made in Brick
Church Cemetery, Rev. A. G. Slaight
officicating. He leaves to mourn
his loss, his father, Clark T Bennett
of this place. and one sister Mrs.
Andrew C. Johnston of Montclair N. J.
