ROBERT C. KENNON, JR. - Age 71, a native of Birmingham, AL and longtime of Chickasaw, AL and current resident of Orange Beach, AL died on Tuesday, July 25, 2000. Mr. Kennon served two terms as Chickasaw City Councilman and retired from Scott Paper Co. after 32 years. A Mason, he was a member of the Shriners and the Scottish Rite Bodies. The US Navy veteran also had been active in youth baseball in Chickasaw. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Orange Beach. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lucille Mothershed Kennon of Orange Beach, AL; two sons, Tony (Paula) Kennon of Orange Beach, AL, Terry (Roberta) Kennon of Darien, Conn.; two daughters, Tammy (Gene) Wheat of Saraland, AL, Teresa (Jeff) Hartley of Orange Beach, AL; three sisters, Nell (Frank) Page of San Antonio, TX, Betty (Calvin) Stevens of Corpus Christi, TX, Juanita (Leonard) Allen of Bon Secour, AL; nine grand children, Brandon, Sommer, Blake, Chad, Rachel, Bailey, Adam, Mike, and Jason; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2000 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home with graveside services and interment following 3:30 P.M. at Bear Point Community Cemetery in Orange Beach, AL.
