Herman Lee "Herme" Moore, Jr., owner and operator of Herme and Son Trucking Co., died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at 2:36 a.m. in Opelousas. He was 41 and a resident and native of Port Allen.
Visiting at New Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church until religious service, conducted by Michael Byrd, pastor. Interment in Lady of Knight Cemetery. Arrangements by Hall Davis & Son Funeral Service.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Moore; father, Herman Lee Moore Sr.; daughter, Ashley Washington; two stepdaughters, Linda Hogan and husband Irwin, and Ashley Ferguson and husband Koiey; son, Herman Lee Moore III; stepson, Leonard Johnson and wife Ashley; sister, Kendra Hammond and husband William; two nephews, Kyle and Jaylen Moore; grandchild, Imani; and five stepgrandchildren, Alexis, Aliah, Akieva, Koiey Jr. and Beyonce.
Preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Perkins Moore.
