Jacob A. Fickel, 54 years, died from locomotor staxia at 2:45 o'clock Saturday morning at his home in Latimore Township.

He was the son of the late William and Catherine Fickel.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Kime, Gardners; Mrs. Charles Spertzel and Miss Goldie Fickel, Latimore Township; one son, Charles Fickel, Latimore Township; one sister, Mrs. Theodore Rinehart, Gardners; and three brothers, William Fickel, York Springs; Charles Fickel, Gardners; Howard Fickel, York Springs.

Poison which entered his body when he was bitten 18 years ago by a copperhead snake is believed by relatives to be responsible for his death. Mr. Fickel had been in failing health ever since the attack was made upon him by the snake.
