Warren Crossman moved to Oneida County New York at the age of two years. He was trained as a carpenter. He married Susan Clapp and they moved to Lake County Illinois in 1844. In 1848 they moved to Rock County Wisconsin where he purchased and ran a 150 acre farm until his death. Susan and Warren had seven children.
