ALEXANDER, Louise Mrs. Louise Scarbrough Alexander of McDonough, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012. Mrs. Alexander was born in Cedartown the daughter of the late Clarence Inman and Myrtle Belle Mitchell Scarbrough. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John L. Alexander, and a sister, Evelyn Russell. Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and David Downs of Acworth; granddaughters, Donna Downs of Smyrna and Dyana and Scott Bishop of Marietta; great grandchildren, David and Elizabeth Bishop of Marietta and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Alexander was a member of McDonough First United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and the Samaritans Sunday School Class when she was able to attend before moving to Kennesaw to be near her family. She was a member of the UDC, DAR, Jamestown Society, and the Pace Society. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 11:00 AM -12:00. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at McDonough First United Methodist Church with Rev. Darris Baker, Rev. James Byrd and Rev. Woody Clark officiating. Interment will be at the McDonough City Cemetery. For those who wish in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the McDonough First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 151 Macon Street, McDonough, GA 30253.
