ALLEN, Charles L., age 98 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2006, in Monroe, GA. He and his family moved to Maryville from South Carolina. He was co-owner of Allen and Price Upholstery Shop from 1949-1971. After retiring in 1971 he later moved to Monroe, GA to live with his son. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maryleen B. Allen and daughter, Christine Headrick; sons-in-law, Furman Price, Ozell Merritt, and Warren Headrick; daughter-in-law, Deanna Allen.
Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Price, Helen Merritt, Aurelia Gaddis all of Maryville, Charlene Menard, Vivian Wise and husband Marion all of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Morris and Grace Allen of Monroe, GA; 20 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Beachy and Rev. Kenneth Carpenter officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
