Alva J. Cooley, 75, 304 E. Foster St., Bryan, died this morning in his residence.
A lifelong resident of the Bryan area, he had been a truck driver for Poast and Dawson. He was born August 20, 1902 to Oliver and Minnie (Schlosser) Cooley.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ellen Wetmore; two sons, Elmer of Defiance and Harold of Bryan; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Miller of Defiance and Mrs. Beatrice Algeo of Bryan; a sister, Mrs. Clara Shinew of Bryan; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
