Mabel Ruth Alexander, 92, of Springfield died at 12:33 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital. She was born July 4, 1898, in Camargo, the daughter of Jonathan and Mary Siders Long. She married Fred Alexander in 1940 and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were one child; five sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A resident of Springfield since 1928, Mrs. Alexander was a member of Fifth Presbyterian Church and Pythian Sisters.
Services: Bisch Memorial Home, the Rev. William Swaar officiating. Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park.
