Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Brewer, age 41 of Manchester, will be conducted Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Pastor Earl Cairns officiating services. Burial to follow in Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, July 29 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Brewer passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 due to a battle with cancer.
Sara Jane Brewer was born April 8, 1968 in Elkhart, IN to the late Lou and Martha Bertram Owens. She worked as a clerk for Top Stop Market and enjoyed fishing with her husband, Terry, collecting foreign money, and liked to crochet. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Brewer.
Her survivors include her loving husband Terry Brewer of Manchester. They would have celebrated their Twelfth wedding anniversary July 28. Daughter, Melody (Griffin) Grant of Shelbyville; son, William Brewer of Manchester; brothers, Louis (Sammie) Owens of Elkhart, IN, David Owens of California; sister, Bonnie Roberts of Elkhart, IN; one grandchild on the way, due in October, Spring Rose Grant, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
