TISHOMINGO -- Services for Pauline Autrey Blackburn, 85, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Howard Stanley officiating. Interment will follow at Tishomingo Cemetery.
Pauline was born May 5, 1920 at Milburn and went to be with the Lord and loved ones Nov. 8, 2005 at Walnut Creek, Calif. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maude Carroll Autry, her husband, Joe Barney Blackburn, Oct. 9, 2001 and her brothers, Paul, Jerald, Claude, Syrus and Weldon.

Pauline was raised in Johnston County and she graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1938.

She married Joe Barney Blackburn Jan. 18, 1941 at Nida and following his military service they made their home in California for more than 40 years. They lived at Durant for approximately eight years and were members of the Nida Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Antioch, Calif. for the past two years.

Pauline worked at Montgomery Ward in the catalogue department for many years and loved traveling with her family in the last few years. Pauline loved shopping and making costume jewelry. Most of all she was passionate about being with her children and grandchildren and attended their activities such as plays and ball games.

Pauline is survived by her son, Leon Blackburn and his wife, Onnie, Mill Valley, Calif.; her daughters, Patricia Joe Laughead and her husband, Bill, Sparks, Nev., and Deborah Villalobos and her husband, Frank, Antioch; seven grandchildren, Russ Blackburn and his wife, Shielah, Michele Garvey and her husband, Brian, Danielle Fontaine, Joey Fontaine, Jessica Laughead, Jennifer Becker and Tommy Becker; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Emma Garvey; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pauline will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
