Mrs. Armstrong Dies Last Friday
Well Known Lawrence County Woman Succumbs at Age of Seventy-nine Years
Mrs. Jane Cocke Armstrong died last Friday at a Memphis hospital at the age of 79 years. The remains were sent to Lawrenceburg and the funeral services were held Saturday at the M. E. Church, in charge of Rev. G. W. Atkisson and Elder T. C. King. She was a good Christian woman and was a devoted member of the M. E. Church.
She is survived by four sons, George Cocke of Florence, Ala.; Charlesy Cocke of Mt. Pleasant, Tenn.; Van Cocke of Russellville, Ala.; Frank Cocke of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.
Mrs. Armstrong formerly lived in Lawrenceburg, at which place she has many relatives and friends.
Interment took place in Mimosa Cemetery Saturday, which was attended by a large number of people. Freemon and Company were in charge of funeral arrangements.
