Frank Benson of Ravia, OK passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 in Ardmore at the age of 75. He was born January 17, 1939 in Ravia, OK to Homer Harrison Benson and Everett “Babe” (Colley) Benson.
Frank was a long time resident of Ravia where he attended school. He worked as a Carpenter and a cement finisher and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Frank attended the Church of God in Ravia, liked wood working, anything with a motor, tinkering with stuff, and he loved his grandkids and great grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Everett “Babe” Benson, two sisters Teata Benson Schroeder and Louella Benson and one brother Everett Benson.
Frank is survived by three sons Tommy Benson of Kingston, Everett Benson of Madill and Ricky Fairchild of Tishomingo, one daughter Sherry Scarberry of Madill, two brothers Edward Benson and wife of San Diego, CA and Bill Benson and wife of Ravia, six grandkids and three great grandkids.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Church of God in Ravia with John Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Ravia Cemetery with Mike Woodruff, David Matthews, Brandon Peden, Dale Burton, Randy Bevill and Gary Swain serving as pallbearers. Randy Graham, Gary Graham, Robert Black, Dustin Peden, Larry Perkins and Tommy Lee Brown will serve as honorary pallbearers.
