History
He was the son of the late Joseph and Marie Bednorz. He was born on June 28, 1940 in White Deer, Texas. E was the 7th child of eight. In 1956, his family moved to Houston, Texas. He attended school up to the eleventh grade. In 1958, Norbert took a job with
Central Freight Line. He worked for the company for 44 years and retired in 2002.
On June 28, 1960, his 20th birthday, he married Juanita (Peggy) McGriff at S. Gregory the Great in Houston, Texas. They remained in Houston for 5 more years. Then the family moved to Hurst, Texas in 1966. Norbert insisted his children attend Catholic School. Rhonda and Brian Attended St. John's Catholic school first grade through the eighth grade. In 1977, he moved his family to Muenster so his children could attend Sacred Heart High School and for the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors
He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Bednorz Pagel of Trophy Club; son and daughter-in-law Brian and Michelle Bednorz of Keller, Texas; grandson Kyle and Ruthie Pagel; and great grandchildren Nolan and Eleanor Pagel of Argyle, Texas;
grandson Cody Page of Trophy Club; granddaughter Lindsey Bednorz of Plano,
Texas; grandson Matthew Bednorz of Keller, Texas; sisters Tilly Richmond of Houston, Texas and Frances Richey of Banco, Texas. He is also survived by numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
Norbert was preceded in death by his wife Peggy McGriff Bednorz of Muenster;
his parents; 3 brothers: Sam Bednorz, Ted Bednorz, and Leo Bednorz; 2 sisters: Elizabeth Bednorz Kidwell and Lucy Bednorz Rumans.
