Donna Ann Caskey
Brownsville, Ind.- Donna Ann Caskey, 67, 3234 W. Union County Line Road, died Monday, March 24, 1997, at Reid Hospital, Richmond, after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 22, 1929, in Greens Fork, to Rolander and Rosetta Shaw Taylor, and had lived in this area all her life. She retired in 1979 from Richmond State Hospital, where she had worked 13 years as a substance abuse counselor. She also had worked at Wayne Locker and John and Mary's Grocery Store. She was a 1949 graduate of Centerville, High School and was a member of the Abington Christian Church and the Willing Workers.
Survivors include her husband, Norman E. Caskey, whom she married Aug. 12, 1949; two daughters, Rosanna M. Hobbs of Connersville and Christian E. Towler; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Vera Humphrey of Brookville, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by one son, Donald E. Caskey; three brothers and three sisters and her parents.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mills Funeral Home in Centerville, with the Rev. Bud Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Abington Christian Church, Abington, IN 47353 or to the Abington Fire Department, Abington, IN 47353.
