Mary Lou Brady, 73, of McSherrystown, died Saturday in Ocean City, Md.
Brady is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bernard C. "Barney" Brady, as well as two children, (Cathy Beard and husband Jim, Littlestown, and Chip Brady and wife Donna, McSherrystown).
In addition, Brady is survived by four grandchildren (Jason and wife Diane, Wendy Beard, Ryan Brady, and Melissa Brady), two great-grandchildren (Tiffany Beard and Jordyn Beard).
She was preceded in death by brother John Tawney, and by sisters Christine Losman and Doris Tawney.
Brady was born on March 22, 1934, in McSherrystown, and was the daughter of the late-John and Mary (Hombach) Tawney.
She was retired from Country Manor Florist, Hanover, and was most recently employed by On Angels Wings Florist, McSherrystown.
Brady was also a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, McSherrystown, and was a 1952 graduate of Delone Catholic High School.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Annunciation Catholic Church, McSherrystown, with Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating.
Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery.
Friends and relatives will be received 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with a rosary to be recited at 8 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Brady, Jim Beard, Jason Beard, Randy Brady, Don Brady, Jr., and Chip Higgins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Wendy Beard and Melissa Brady.
