Obit: Feb 21, 1924 Marion Russell Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Granville Brown, was born at Aden, Il Oct 3, 1922; departed this life on the family home in Benton, Illinois. Feb 15, 1924 aged 1 year 5 months and 12 days. Little Russell was taken ill about three weeks ago, pneumonia developing during his short stay here on earth he became the idol of his family and was loved by all. He leaves to mourn father, mother, 1 brother, 3 sisters, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Asbury Shorb and many other relatives. He was brought to Wayne City by his parents February 16th and taken to his grandfather Shorb of Aden, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. I. O. Simpson Sunday Feb. 17 and the remains laid to rest in Olive Branch Cemetery. Sleep little Russell and take your rest Our Father called you He thought it best. (dates of obit do not match headstone)
