Nadeen Allen, age 72, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 21st at the Cambridge Cemetery. Jerry Beckenhauer will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. OBITUARY: NADEEN ALLEN
Nadeen Elizabeth Allen, the daughter of Guy and Ruth (Rickard) Warren, was born in Indianola, Nebraska on July 16, 1932 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on April 17, 2005, at the age of 72.
She graduated from Indianola High School. After Nadeen graduated from high school, she completed the courses necessary to become a schoolteacher. Later on she took courses to complete her nurses aide training.
Nadeen married Wayne Allen on April 27, 1953. They had three children; Kevin, Pamela and Scott. She continued to teach school at Holbrook, Hendley, Perry and many other one room school houses in the area. Over the years Nadeen also worked at nursing homes in Oxford, Arapahoe and Cambridge until she retired. Wayne and Nadeen moved to Aurora in 2003. They had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2003, soon to celebrate their 52nd anniversary.
Nadeen loved to read and care for her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Derald Warren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Wayne of Aurora; three children, Kevin (Jeanie) Allen of Aurora, Pamela (Myron) Guthrie of Indianola and Scott Allen of Aurora; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers, Ron (Gloria) Warren of McCook and Homer (Claudine) Warren of Braidwood, Illinois and a sister, June Atkinson of Lafayette, Indiana.
