Ida Belle Brown, the daughter of George Wesley and Martha Ann Elizabeth Sisco Brown, was born October 3, 1899 and departed this life January 31, 1988 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Festus, MO, at the age of 88 years, 3 month, and 28 days. She was united in marriage to Richard Doris Goforth on March 3, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, seven sisters, one son, Houston Doris Goforth, and one infant daughter, Ruth. She leaves to mourn her passing four sons, Earl Goforth of Ironton, MO; Eugene Goforth of High Ridge, MO; Cecil Goforth of Rolla, MO; and Lonnie Goforth of Hillsboro, MO; four daughters, Goldie Reed and Ruby Tucker of Rolla, MO; Betty Magness of House Springs, MO; and Wanda Counts, of Cuba, MO; three daughters-in-law, Nila, Bernice, and Margie; three sons-in-law, Ed Reed, Paul Counts, and Oley Magness; ten granddaughters, nine grandsons, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She accepted Jesus as Savior and was baptized in 1949 at Eminence, Missouri, and held fast her faith 'til the end. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 3, 1988 at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Eminence. Burial was in the New Eminence Cemetery under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Eminence.
