She was born on May 16, 1918, in Escanaba, Mich., daughter of the late Paul
and Lillie (Buboir) Hebert. Sister Dorothy earned a Licensed Practical Nurse
Diploma from the Vocational School of Practical Nursing in Alliance, Neb. The
former Mary Herbert entered the convent in 1934 and professed her vows in 1937.
Sister Dorothy served as a homemaker at St. Anthony, Oconto Falls; SS Peter &
Paul, Kiel; St. John the Baptist, Plymouth, Wis.; St. Sylvester, Woodsfield,
Ohio; Holy Family, Lindsay, Neb.; San Jose, Pisinemo, Ariz.; dietitian at St.
Joseph Home, West Point, Neb.; and a nurse at St. Francis Memorial Hospital,
West Point, Neb.; Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc; Ozanam Home, New Berlin; St.
Paul Home, Kaukauna; and St. Rita Health Center at the Motherhouse, Manitowoc,
Wis. After retiring from active ministry, she performed various services at
San Xavier Mission, Tucson, Ariz.; San Damiano Convent, Slinger, Holy Family
Conservatory, Holy Family Convent & St. Francis, Manitowoc, Wis. Since 2003,
she had been a resident of St. Rita Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at the
Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian
Burial will be the Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O. Pream, with burial to follow at Holy
Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc
from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday Aug. 18, 2010, where a prayer service will
be held at 7 p.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
