Millard T. Martin

TAZEWELL, Va. Millard T. Martin, 86, of Route 3, Tazewell, died Thursday, July 22, 1999, in a Bluefield hospital.

Born May 4, 1913, at Bluestone, W.Va., he was a son of the late Burkie A. and Lilly Jefferson Martin. A member of Bramwell Methodist Church in Bramwell, he was also a
member of several civic organizations, including the Braniwell Masonic Lodge No. 45 AF & AM, Shriners, Redman, Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, Marquetry Society of America and
the British Marquetry Society. He worked as a supply clerk for Consolidation Coal Company before his retirement in 1976. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Two brothers, Alfred Martin and Raymond Martin, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Fay McFarland Martin; one daughter, Eunice Gay Smith and husband Donald of Arlington, Texas; two sons, Tom Martin and wife
Nancy of Red Rock, Texas, and Ernest L. Martin and wife Georgia of Colorado Springs, Cob.; three sisters, Virginia Scott of Charlotte, N.C., Catherine Smith of Morgantown,
and Norma Toppits; two brothers, Dennis Martin of Roanoke, Va., and Roland Martin of Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and special friends and caretakers, Lois Gillespie, Gail Vencil and Connie Cundiff.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Perry & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. Lee Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at
Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell where Masonic rites will be conducted by members of Bramwell Masonic Lodge No.45 AF & AM.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
