Urbana Daily Citizen, Tuesday, 8 November 1966 Pearl Sanford Hanna, 88, 420 N. Main St., Urbana, died at 9:50 p.m. Monday in Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine. He had been admitted Nov. 1, from the Latham Nursing Home. He was born in Concord Township, Champaign County, March 23, 1878, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Hanna. Hannah was a member of the Kingscreek Methodist Church and was the founder of Lakewood Beach, southwest of Urbana. Survivors are his widow, Bernice Kiser Hanna of Urbana; one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Mann of Visalia, Calif.; two sons, Homer Hanna of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Warren C. Hanna of Cuyohoga Falls; five grandchildren; one step-daughter, Mrs. Willis (Mildred) Toomire; three step-sons, Donald Kiser of Hottle, N. D., William Kiser of Urbana route three and Robert Kiser of Urbana route four. A four-year-old son and his first wife, Zalia Offenbacher Hanna, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Humphreys and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. W. E. Riley, Sr. of Kingscreek Methodist Church and the Rev. Malcolm D. Hooker of the First Presbyterian Church, Urbana, officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon Wednesday until time of services.
