Charlotte Kay Perkins Hiebert passed away on July 5, 2012. She was born to Talmadge V. (Doc) Perkins and Lynna Mae (Bill) Hensley Perkins on January 12, 1945 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was preceded in death by both parents, and one brother Talmadge V. (Cobb) Perkins Jr. Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Wilbur C. Hiebert Sr., one Son, Wilbur C. (Wil) Hiebert Jr. and his wife Brenda Cole Hiebert and one daughter, Tammy Lynn Weller and her husband Russell Weller of Springfield, Missouri. Two precious grandchildren, Spencer Christian Weller and Wriley Cole Hiebert survive Charlotte. Charlotte also leaves a brother, R.J. Perkins of Winona, Missouri. Charlotte had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Charlotte was baptized into Christ and served faithfully in the Winona Christian Church, Winona, MO for many years until she relocated after retirement to Springfield, MO. She then joined in fellowship with the First and Calvary Presbyterian Church in Springfield.
Her work career as a postal employee for the United States Postal Service spanned 30 years. After relocating to Springfield her main pursuits consisted of spending time with her family, helping with the grandchildren, attending sales, exercising, and working in the yard.
During Charlotte's illness the children and their spouses as well as the grandchildren were there to respond immediately to her needs; when the children or grandchildren were near she was always very content. She was blessed to have been taken care of also by Debbie of Integrity Home Health; Debbie was so kind and compassionate and was a blessing to the entire family. Charlotte's many close friends also encouraged her and were constantly keeping her in their thoughts and prayers.
Donations may be sent to First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, 820 Cherry Street, Springfield, MO 65806 to be used for their youth program.
The family appreciates each card, letter, email, phone call and visit; your kindness will be remembered always.
Visitation will be Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:00am – 11:00am at the Winona Christian Church in Winona, MO. Funeral services will be held at the Winona Christian Church in Winona, MO on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00am with Bro. J.C. Kuessner officiating. Interment will be in Pinelawn Cemetery in Winona, MO under the direction of Duncan Funeral Homes.
