Velma Lorene Mitchell, 100, Birch Tree, Missouri, went to reside in Heaven on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
She was born December 16, 1912 to Leonard and Maude (Holden) Ledgerwood.
She married Marion Thomas (Tom) Mitchell on November 23, 1933. Four children were born to that union.
She is survived by three of those children, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Wilda Woolsey; daughter-in-law, Linda Mitchell; grandsons, Ronnie and Lonnie Woolsey; granddaughter, Connie Woolsey; great-granddaughter, Auburn Robinson; great-grandson Lester Statler; brothers Ray and Duane Ledgerwood; and sister, Bessie Mae Garrison.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 1pm – 2pm at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Mountain View, MO. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2pm at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Mountain View, MO.
Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery in Birch Tree, MO under the direction of Duncan Funeral Homes.
