Henry Wittrock, 87, of 108 Fremont St., Kiel, died Saturday morning at his home. He had been in ill health for the past several months.
Mr. Wittrock was born Dec. 21, 1895, in Kiel, son of Henry Sr. and Anna Bartel Wittrock. He attended Kiel schools. Mr. Wittrock was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Europe during World War I. He married the former Marie Kattre on Apirl 23, 1924, in Waukegan, Ill. The couple settled in Kiel, where Mr. Wittrock was self-employed as a painter and trapper.
Survivors include his wife, and two sons, Herman and Frederick, both of Kiel.
The funeral will be at Meiselwitz Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe V. Anderson, pastor of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
