WALTER WAGENKNECHT
Funeral serviced for the late Walter Wagenknecht were held on Saturday afternoon from the C. J. Meiselwitz funeral home. Interment was made in the Kiel, cemetery, with Rev. Rech officiating.
The deceased was born in the town of Schleswig, Jan. 6, 1892, the son of Julius Wagenknecht of this city. After leaving school he worked in the local printing office for two years.
He was married to Miss Elsie Bahr, on May 26, 1914, and the couple moved to Pennsylvania, and also lived in Iowa for some time. During their residence of several years in Kiel, Mr. Wagenknecht was employed by the Kiel Cheese and Butter Co. Two years ago the family moved to Kewaskum, where he operated a cheese factory up to the time of his death on Sunday.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Billy; two sons died, one five years and one 14 months old. He also leaves his father, one brother, Herman of Milwaukee, and three sisters, Mrs. C. A. Bahr of this city, Miss Ella Wagenknecht of Milwaukee and Mrs. Claude Burdick of Jersey City, N.J.
The following from out-of-town were in attendance at the funeral; Mrs. C. Burdick of New Jersey, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wagenknecht, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brandt.
