35th Regiment, Georgia (Volunteer) Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia, Confederate States Army on Sep 16, 1861 (organized at Atlanta, Georgia). Wounded May 1862 (probably in Virginia). Surrendered with the General Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia at Appomattox, Virginia Apr 9, 1865.
Edom wrote his memoirs about the Sharpshooters experiences in the early 1900's. The Family donated his hand written letters, as he called them, to the Atlanta Historical Society. I published these and other articles he had written for the newspaper.
