James L. Kirton died as a result of a hunting accident. He was the husband of Martha Jane Rowe, daughter of George Washington and Mahala (Hood) Rowe who are buried in the Rowe Family Cemetery in Howell Co., MO. James was the father of;
Lizzie Mahala (md. Roy Brown); Mary Prudence (md. William Lawton); Minnie Mae (md. Lewis Marshall Hines); Lula Bell; James Otis (md Vida Pearl Sankey); and Jessie Mildred Kirton (md. Chester Esmond).
