He was born September 5, 1929, in Noble, the son of William and Gladys Jones McCleary.
He was an Army veteran in the Korean Conflict and was a retired mechanic for GM and Chrysler Motor companies after 50 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #30.
McCleary is survived by his parents; three sons, Phillip L., Michael D., and Jeffery A. McCleary; one daughter, Suzann Hembree; special friend, Marie Dickerson; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services were at a later date by Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney.
