Kiel – (Special) – Mrs. Albertina Schroeder, 96, widow of the late Johann Schroeder, and the oldest resident of Kiel and vicinity passed away at the family residence 734 N. Third street at 6 a.m., Sunday, after an illness of only one week. The deceased, nee Timreck was born in Kleingluhen Pommerainia, Germany, October 12, 1841. Mr. Schroeder preceded her in death on March 15, 1936, one month after the couple's seventy-first wedding anniversary. After their marriage they continued to reside in the old country until the spring of 1883 when Mr. and Mrs. Schroeder and their only son, Charles H. came to this country and located in Kiel. After a few years the Schroeder family purchased a farm in Rockville, on which they resided two years and again returned to Kiel where they have always resided at their present home on N.
