R. Craig graduated in 1971 from Pekin High School in Pekin, IL. After joining the United States Air Force in 1971, he graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL and then Northwest Florida University with his Bachelors and Masters Degree. In the Air Force he worked as a linguist in French and Russian and later as a missile and aircraft engineer. In 1994, he retired as a Major from the United States Air Force. He was most proud of his recent design work on the F-22 Raptor. He was also an avid music lover and played first chair violin while stationed in many different states including Massachusetts and Florida. He loved watching baseball (especially the St. Louis Cardinals), talking about cars, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Hazel Hudson Randolph and his siblings Patsy Randolph, and Judy Morsch.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Jan of Beavercreek, OH; one son Josh Randolph of Beavercreek, OH; one daughter Elizabeth Monks and husband Dan of Beavercreek, OH; his father C. Ireland Randolph of Jasper, AL; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Earl and Dorothy Ledgerwood of Winona, MO; one nephew David Morsch and wife Kim of Jasper, AL and Steve Morsch of Jasper, AL; His sister-in-law and brother-in-law Chris and Ken Ledgerwood as well as their two daughters, Cassie and Sara, of Peoria, IL; one great nephew Jaret Morsch of Jasper, AL; his uncles: Truman Hudson and Glenn Hudson of Jasper, AL; his aunts: Delene Thomas of Chattanooga, TN, Betty Hudson of Tupelo, MS, Elsie Cottrell of Huntsville, AL; and Peggy Brooks of Guntown, MS.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday December 6, 2006 at Duncan Funeral Chapel in Birch Tree, MO with Dr. John Noble and Rodney Fisher officiating. Interment was held at the Corinth Cemetery in Birch Tree, MO under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home in Birch Tree, MO
