"Mickey" was born October 23, 1916 in Paden City, WV daughter of the late Clarence Oscar and Anna Rosetta Konrad Anderson.
Mickey worked at the Paden City Pottery from 1932 to 1942. She worked side by side with her husband running Smittle's Meat Packing Plant until Dillon sold the business.
As her children were growing up she was involved with the Paden City Band Patrons and Paden City Woman's Club. She was an experienced seamstress and a wonderful cook. Mickey's whole life revolved around her children then taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of First Christian Church of Paden City, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dillon B. Smittle (1980); sisters, Kathern Wells and Virginia Weltz and brother, Charles Anderson.
Surviving are two sons, Dillon Smittle and his wife, Donna of New Martinsville, WV and Richard Smittle and his wife, Karen of Morgantown, WV; two daughters, Cathy Pryor and her husband, Alan and Pamela Billeter and her husband, Steve both of Paden City, WV; seven grandchildren, Kim (Joe) Goots of Parkersburg, WV, Rene (Kevin) Haught of Hedgesville, WV, Wesley (Ann) Smittle of Morgantown, WV, Brad (Jill) Billeter of St. Mary's, WV, Ashley (Mike) Fox of Salisbury, NC, Robin (Tom) Butts of Pittsburgh, PA and Courtney (Aaron) Ross of Elkins, WV; twelve great grandchildren, Mallory and Kelsey Goots, Charlotte and Margaret Smittle, Brenna and Kailan Haught, Katie and Will Billeter, Addison, Calab and Jonas Fox and Alexander Douglas Ross.
Friends received 1-4 and 6-9 Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, Paden City where services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2009 with Ron Crowe officiating.
Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, WV.
