Carl E. Jackson, 77 of Albion, IL formerly of Olney, IL passed away at 5:56 PM, Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Wabash General Hospital Emergency Room in Mt. Carmel, IL.

Carl was born July 22, 1932 in Olney, IL. His mother was Margaret Jackson. He married Carolyn Fulk August 17, 1969 in Olney, IL and she survives.

He worked as a market worker at Brookshires Grocery. He worked 30 years in the oilfield and later for the Arcola Independent School District. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Albion, IL and previously he was a charter member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Royse City, TX.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Albion, 4 daughters; Mechele (Dennis) Buckels of Royse City, TX, Melanie Clemons of Royse City, TX, Dorothy (Mark) Smith of Royse City, TX, Carla (David) Lindsay of Cummings, KS, 1 sister; Barbara Haycraft of West Salem, IL, 1 brother; Kenneth Jackson of Olney, IL, 8 grandchildren; Denise Buckels, Meagan (Timothy) Brown, Lucas Buckels, Brianna Craig, Franklin Smith, Hannah Smith, Trevor Lindsay and Dawson Lindsay.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Margaret, 1 son; Stephen Carl Jackson, 1 brother; Jim Jackson and 1 sister; Pat Davis.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 10, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Albion, IL. Burial will be in Hannah cemetery in Noble, IL. Visitation will be Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL.
