Mr. John Heinfeld died on Wednesday, December 14th, in the home of widow Mrs. C. Roettger, about 5 miles west of here from inflammation of the lungs at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 10 days. The deceased was born in Caspar, Dettlingen, Duchy of Oldenburg and Immigrated here with his parents in 1833. Crippled from birth, he suffered with jawbone cancer for the last 6 months, the added lung inflammation caused his death. The burial took place on Friday afternoon at Lock 2 Cemetery. Pastor Buerkle officiated.
