Clara Oesau, 91, of 28 Fremont St., Kiel, died at her home on July 30, 1997
She was born March 12, 1906 in Kiel, daughter of the late George and Katie Reichardt Oesau.
She was a graduate of Kiel High School and also attended one year of Normal School. She was a member of the Kiel Orchestra where she played the violin. She was the first part-time librarian in the City of Kiel. She also owned and operated Riverside Grocery in Kiel approximately 30 years, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of the Women's Studay club in Kiel and a former member of the GUG Germania society.
Survivors include one cousin, Wilma Wriedt of Elkhart Lake, and her adopted family, Lowell and Edythe Freis and and children.
