Jacob N. Meronek, 11 of Hilbert and Kiel was called to God's Grace on Tuesday evening, July 9, 2013 from an accidental drowning. He was born April 24, 2002 in Brookfield, son of Jon Meronek and Michelle (Wiltsie) Larson. Jacob would have been in 6th grade at Manitowoc County Charter School. He also attended Kiel Schools. Even with his challenges of being autistic, Jacob enjoyed life and was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed fishing, collecting rocks, stones, crystals and coal. He also was a skilled builder and enjoyed creating many different things. Survivors include his Mom, Michelle (Kelly-Jeau) Larson. Dad, Jon Meronek (Melissa Gray) and brothers; Joseph Meronek, Tiberius Larson, & Augustus Larson. Tyler & Connor Boring, (Melissa's children). He is further survived by his grandparents, Patrick Wiltsie, Naomi Pettigrew, Gary & Constance Meronek, God Parents, David & Linda Meronek, Uncle; Wayne Wiltsie, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass for Jacob will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, July 15, 2013 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 413 Fremont St., Kiel with Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. officiating. Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th. St., Kiel on Monday from 12:00 pm until 2:30 pm when we will have brief family rites.
