My great-grandfather, Millard LaFollette, and his brothers homesteaded the land on which this cemetery is located. When they got the land there were 15 unmarked graves near the road (probably pioneers or natives). They felt it right to set aside this piece of wheat land as a cemetery site for the community and so they donated it. I have many family members buried there.

Maria Nash was an infant who died the same day she was born. Her mother, Clara LaFollette, was a 2nd cousin to Millard. Maria is the only grave in a 2nd LaFollette section in the cemetery which, I believe, was meant to be gravesites for her parents and siblings. But Clara and her husband, George Nash left the area and are buried elsewhere. From what I can tell, there was one older sibling and no others born after Maria. So Maria is alone.
