SLIGO - Thomas McBride, 78, of Sligo died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday in the Kittanning Hospital.
He was born May 13, 1892, at Cushion, Okla., a son of William B. and Anna Fallen McBride.
He was married to Ethel Margaret Sulton, who survives. Mr. McBride was a member of the Regular Baptist Church at Reidsburg. He was a veteran of WWI, having served with the U.S. Army, Rainbow Division in France and a member of the VFW Post 415, New Bethlehem.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Thomas McBride of Buffalo, N.Y.; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Confer of Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. Leonard (Helen) Ruffo of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Francis (Betty) Engelkes of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Leo (Shelby Jean) Dixon of Campbell, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rowe of Buffalo, NY and Mrs. Doris Flint of New Creek, W. Va.
One brother preceded him in death. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Rayburn Nulph, pastor of the Regular Baptist Church, officiating.
