Carl Lee Hasler, 43, prominent farmer and active citizen of Richland County, passed away early Sunday at Richland Memorial Hospital, where he has been a patient the past two days.

He farmed in the Glenwood area northwest of Noble.

Mr. Hasler, who served in the Armed Forces during World War II, was formerly a Justice of the Peace in Noble Township, and was currently serving as a Noble Township Auditor, a director of the Farm Bureau and had served as a director in farm services.

He was a member of the Glenwood Church and a teacher of the teenage Sunday School class.

Surviving are his wife, Doris, a Registered Nurse who is employed at Richland Memorial Hospital; four children, Amy, 9, Ruth, 11, Rebecca, 14, and Allen, 17, all at home.

Also surviving are his parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hasler of Noble; a sister, Mrs. Eldon (Pauline) Oaster of Noble.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Glenwood Church, with William Seid in charge.

Burial will be in the Hanna Cemetery.
